1) VAI A HEVA – BOYA I

Características del lugar
Fondo coralino y arenoso (transición entre una plataforma volcánica cubierta por corales aprox. 6-7 metros y cayendo a la arena aprox 9-11 metros). Ideal para buceos de iniciación.
Para buzos con licencia, se sigue un recorrido en donde pasa a otra formación volcánica montañosa, donde es posible pasar una pequeña cueva (14 mts profundidad) con salida en su parte superior , siguiendo numerosos canales formados por la lava con todo el esplendor de corales duros, en donde se llega a su mayor profundidad de 18 metros, empezando a ascender siguiendo los brazos de grandes formaciones coralinas posadas en la blanca arena.

Características del lugar
Plataforma volcánica coralífera a 12 mts profundidad aprox. que bordea un fondo arenoso de 17 mts de profundidad. Se sigue una plataforma montañosa con tope a 12 mts aprox. Su lado oriental presenta fondo de arena, blanda al tacto y de un color blanquecino sin igual. En su lado occidental, hay un Ancla posada en la arena (18 mts prof.), una formación de coralina que observada a 30 metros de distancia semeja una esfinge. En su mitad de recorrido, existe una formación coralina que presenta la forma de un gigantesco hongo, observando una gran cantidad de especies de peces a su alrrededor.

3) EL JARDIN DE MIKE / LA PIRAMIDE

Características del lugar
Situado al norte de la caleta hanga roa, dirección a Motu Tautara, formación piramidal con tope en 10 metros de prof, de fondo rocoso y coralino hasta los 37 metros de profundidad, se observan grandes parches de arena llegando hasta los 45 metros de prof. Es posible pasar por cavernas de lava a los 27 mts y 15 mts aprox. Al ascender rodeando la pirámide es posible observar como cambia la vida marina de corales a algas.

4) LA CATEDRAL

Características del lugar
Situado al norte de la caleta hanga roa, Ubicado bajo el Motu Tautara. Gran bóveda de hasta 6-7 metros de altura, con diferentes tuneles de salida. En el centro existe una abertura en donde cae el haz luminoso del sol cambiando la percepción del lugar , buscando entre la luz y la oscuridad se ven gran cantidad de grietas donde se encuentran peces de oscuridad, tales como langostas (uras), rape rape, mata huira, kra kra, marau, congrio (coiro), morenas de todas las variedades y crustáceos tales como langostas y Rape Rape.
Se forman corrientes leves por la formación del escenario. Es necesario que la superficie se encuentre en calma y sin oleaje, por la poca profundidad y por la formación, produciendo un empuje y succión del agua. Necesario el uso de linterna. Al salir de la catedral, se encuentran grandes grietas entre las rocas, puentes y cavernas inexploradas.

Características del lugar
Situado al norte de la caleta hanga roa, zona ubicada al costado externo del Motu Tautara, formación totalmente volcánica, tapada en el coral característico de la isla, en donde es posible pasar por cavernas, puentes y observar los cambios de colores oscuros a azules infinitos entre las grandes grietas de las rocas que traspasan murallones de miles de años desde la formación de la isla.

7) MOTU KAO KAO

Características del lugar
El islote o motu mas cercano a la isla, pináculo enclavado al fondo con hasta 56 metros de profundidad. Su pared esta cubierta de corales que cae en forma vertical de 90 grados. Gran cantidad de peces y cardúmenes de peces de mayor tamaño que en el resto de los sitios, tales como barracudas (kana kana), ruhi, jureles (Poo Po’o), toremo, etc. Sobre los 35 metros se puede apreciar coral negro Y esponjas. Al ser una formación rocosa en mar abierto siempre se encuentra una corriente que puede ser leve a fuerte.

Características del lugar
Islote o motu, con caída vertical de su pared tapada de coral, grietas, erizos y esponjas, llegando a una profundidad de hasta 70 metros. Se pueden observar grandes balcones en donde esta una gran diversidad y cantidad de peces. En este lugar, se pueden ver también gran cantidad de peces y cardúmenes de peces de mayor tamaño, tales como barracudas (kana kana), ruhi, jureles (Poo Po’o), toremo, etc. Al ser una formación rocosa en mar abierto siempre se encuentra una corriente que puede ser leve a fuerte.

Características del lugar
Entrada por playa, aproximadamente a 150 metros se encuentra una plataforma de coral con 7 a 9 metros de profundidad, provocando una rompiente de 10 hasta llegar a los 20 metros con fondo de arena. En la otra dirección, se forma una pared, con formas y relieves de origen volcánico. El color de la arena es producto del sedimento que arroja la escoria volcánica y el desgaste insesable del coral, llamándole así, la playa de arenas rosadas

Diversidad de fauna
Aunque es posible observar gran diversidad de peces, el tipo de fondo no es apto para la abundancia. Es posible deivisar: Pez trompeta (ure ure), pez aguja, pez mariposa (tipi tipi), pez angel, pez globo (titeve), pez soldado (marau), vidriola (mata huira), pez cofre (avahata), pez loro (kotea), pez arpa (kokiri), lenguado, tortugas verde (honus), morenas moteada, verde y leopardo (korehas), pez roca, erizos (hatuke), damiselas, arañas y estrellas de mar, entre otros.

Características del lugar
Frente al centro ceremonial de tahai, se encuentra este Coral gigante de la especie Porites lobata, el más grande conocido en todo el Pacífico. Tiene 6 mts de altura y 7 mts de diámetro. Se encuentra situado sobre un fondo arenoso y a su vez rodeado por codos de coral, en donde se encuentran la mayoría de los peces.

Características del lugar
Situado en el codo sur de la Bahía de Hanga Roa, se forma una gran plataforma volcánica bañada de coral, que desciende hasta 40 metros. La claridad del agua permite ver formaciones alucinantes acompañados de azul intenso del mar. En los 32 metros se encuentra una pequeño puente, es donde es posible pasar y ver cantidad de especies de oscuridad y grietas.

13) NAUFRAGIO DEL APOLLINE EMILIE

Características del lugar
Naufragio correspondiente al buque “APOLLINE EMILIE” en 1896. Se ve el esqueleto de la proa. Situado en la bahía de Hanga Roa – Apina. Fondo marino mixto con arena, rocas y praderas de algas.

14) ANAKENA

Características de lugar
Entrada desde un muelle, que comienza en 2 metros siguiendo el brazo que cierra la pequeña rada. Permite hacer un buceo cómodo y bien tranquilo, lugar llano y bañado de coral.
